The Volkswagen Golf Mk1 is a compact car, the first generation of the VW Golf and the successor to the Volkswagen Beetle. Produced in May 1974, it was intended as a modern front-wheel-drive, hatchback replacement for the ageing Beetle.

Ed displays his talent by restoring this tired old VW Golf to the original GTI specifications.

Designed as project ADO15 (Amalgamated Drawing Office 15), the first models were marketed with the names Austin Seven (often written as SE7EN) and Morris Mini-Minor in England.

Flagged as totally original though it did have a sunroof.

W123 is the internal chassis-designation Mercedes-Benz used for their executive line of cars, manufactured between 1976 and 1985.

Car was found through an advertisement on a bulletin board at a local supermarket. Replacement right wing was painted free of charge.

Ford Capri was a name used by the Ford Motor Company for three different automobile models. The Ford Capri coupé (Europe), Ford/Mercury Capri convertible (Australia) and the Ford Consul Capri coupé which was produced by Ford of Britain between 1961 and 1964.

Sale price blamed on lackluster finish of repainted wings, as well as the worn seats that were not addressed during the restoration.
