Judy wakes up in time for a home-cooked breakfast with her dad, but there's more on the menu than eggs and toast. Chuck shocks Judy with news about a new job offer that could uproot Judy and seriously jeopardize her friendship with Peter.

After learning about her dad's plans to accept a new job in Pennsylvania, Judy indirectly asks Peter for advice about what she should do to stay put. But Peter, who is dealing with another ultimatum from his grandmother, is preoccupied thinking about his own future.

In an effort to strengthen her ties to South Carolina, Judy searches for romance ... on the Internet. Meanwhile, Peter, high on the success of his sci-fi movie, looks into a trip to Los Angeles to further his film career.

Judy is shocked when she learns that Peter is heading to Los Angeles, but not nearly as shocked as Peter is when he sees the results of Judy's foray into online dating: some porny spam in her email.

Peter takes off for Los Angeles leaving Judy to run the second screening of the "Battle for Creata Forest," and sparks fly when Judy, burnt out on her online search for love, meets Parker Banks, another local filmmaker.

Parker starts to pick up on hints of Judy's immaturity and the bizarre nature of her relationship with Peter when Judy takes him on a tour of her house, including a look at her extensive earring collection and the "set" of "The Battle for Creata Forest."

Peter's first business trip to Los Angeles includes a lot of stumbling upon various attractions, but not as much networking as he might have intended.

Peter can't believe his luck when he lands an interview with a big-shot Hollywood agent after only one day of searching. Meanwhile, Judy and Parker spend more time getting to know each other at Parker's surprisingly luxurious apartment.

Parker takes Judy on her first official date, while Peter has a social engagement of his own in Los Angeles before he has to pack up and return to South Carolina.

Judy is excited to finally introduce Parker to Peter after having talked about her best friend with her new beau all week long. But a jet lagged Peter is not at all excited to meet the man who's divided Judy's attention.

Judy is inconsolable after Peter wrecks her relationship with Parker. Peter's halfhearted attempt to apologize ends with Judy finally giving him a piece of her mind.
