Out of This World - Season 1 (1987)

Evie tries out for the cheerleading squad while Donna joins Mayor Applegate on the Marlowe Centennial Committee.

Evie is gifted on the basketball court, but soon a chauvinistic classmate challenges her to a game to prove that boys are better than girls. Evie will have to find her shot against Chris, the new boy in school.

Evie develops a new ability, gleeping, which allows her to make things manifest with her mind. Uncle Beano is being honored by the mayor, but when Evie gleeps Beano and a dog to switch bodies, Donna and Evie have to fix everything.

Evie wins a NASA contest looking for brilliant young minds, but astronaut Scott Carpenter uncovers that Evie's project is based upon information gained from her alien father.

Evie wishes that Donna was more like a stereotypical 1950s television Mom and uses her powers to grant it. Problems arise as Donna is scheduled to give a speech on modern women's rights in order to stop the city from closing a day care center for working women.

Evie is covering the election and Donna is working on Mayor Applegate's campaign. Mayor Applegate has competition in the mayoral election as he faces off against Charles Nelson Reilly.

Evie gets her first babysitting job, but when she wishes the baby could tell her why he is crying, her gleeping powers give baby Neil the ability to talk.

Uncle Beano helps a young friend of Evie deal with the pressures of being overweight.

Donna and Beano's mom come for a visit. Every Body of the Family tells her that Troy was an CIA Agent and cant come her. Then she met Mayor Kyle and ends up falling in love with him.

Donna is very happy and has put a heart around a date on the calendar. Will she met a new man in her life? Evie thoughts she fells in love with another man. But the Solution is, she can be with Troy in a special way, when the planets align once a year on the same day.

While cleaning out the kitchen Donna and Evie discover an alien egg which makes people tell the truth.

Uncle Beano begins corresponding with a love interest through the mail, but fears grow as it is discovered that Evie sent a picture of Mayor Applegate instead of Beano.

Donna tells Evie to be friends with a new boy at school. But when Evie tells her mother, the boy's obnoxious but Donna tells her he needs a friend. Donna has an unpleasant encounter with the boy's father who is just as obnoxious not knowing who he is. Evie decides to invite the boy and his father to the house for dinner to show Donna what she has to deal with.

Mayor Applegate's role of Mosquito Man is set to be revived in a motion picture, unfortunately the plans are set to go without him.

Russian spies investigate a suspicious power source and their search leads them right to the Garland house.

Donna's mom come for a visit again to Marlowe and this time she thinks Buzz is Troy as she sees them doing an intimate dance when she comes.

Evie begins showing signs of an alien illness, but is she alone?

Before leaving for a trip, Evie discovers a new power. Upon returning, Evie finds that the cube she uses to talk to her dad is gone. Now a detective is on the case to find the missing cube.
