Major Semyonov learns that bandits led by Simon are planning to kidnap businessman Shirokov. He is developing an operation, but, not having time to coordinate it with Mikhailov, he acts alone. Taking advantage of the outward resemblance to Shirokov, Semyonov takes his place, and the bandits kidnap him. General Arsenyev comes with a proposal to the criminal authorities of the city: in order to continue doing business, they must pay him. Authorities do not want to deal with Arsenyev.

Guessing that Yulia is hiding something, Semyonov asks an expert he knows to conduct an unofficial examination of the phone found on her. A gang of motorcycle thieves showed up in the city. One of her victims is the son-in-law of the deputy head of the governor's administration. Colonel Markin gives three days to search for the gang. Semyonov turns to his old friend Uncle Grisha. Mikhailov, still angry at Semyonov, decides to proceed without him.

Mikhailov is trying to get comfortable with a new place of work. Smyslov and Kudren suspect that Mikhailov was sent to their district to collect compromising evidence. Businessman Oleg Laskovy claims that the bandits are extorting money from him. Semyonov finds out who these criminals are and is going to detain them when transferring money, but the operation fails. Volodya Shubin, a security guard in a private cottage community, comes into conflict with the spoiled rich who live there.

Denis and Lenya are investigating the theft of a large amount of money from a company safe. The suspect is security guard Dmitriy Artyomov. Zavyalova becomes Artyomov's lawyer by appointment, who proves in court that he is innocent. Artyomov is released on bail. It turns out that the cleaning lady, whose son has recently been released, may be involved in the theft. In a country house, businessman Shakhrovskiy was killed along with his guards. The camera captured the face of the criminal - Sergey Batnikov, who worked for Fomin. However, Semyonov does not believe that Batnikov, a former special forces officer, went on a contract killing. Markin joins Semyonov to the investigation, now he will help Mikhailov, Smyslov and Kudren. Fomin demands a speedy result from his new lawyer Zavyalova. Zavyalova invites Semyonov to act as a witness.

Street musician Dmitriy Nefyodov was killed in the central district. Police check the information and understand that he had no enemies, no connections with the criminal world either. The absence of witnesses further complicates the work of the police. Lyubimov meets with Tuchkov and Shubin and develops a plan to remove Arsenyev. To do this, they decide to find an agent among the general's inner circle. Tuchkov offers Colonel Streltsov for this role.

Mikhailov liked Inga Krylova, the new investigator for the central district. He tries to set up a meeting with her, and Semyonov, having figured out Andrey's plan, makes fun of him.
