Down the Mighty River with Steve Backshall

Steve and his team begin their journey at Lake Habbema and brave some of the fiercest white water rapids in the world. Along the way they stay in a village belonging to the Dani tribe and venture into unexplored caves.

The team travel down the lower gorge but find the river dangerously swollen by heavy rains. An excursion into the surrounding jungle leads to a hazardous night time return journey and contact with a local tribe.
