The series begins in Leeds with a week featuring a Pavarotti-style performance, a problem preparing duck and a mankini.

The new series continues in Blackpool, Lancashire, where former dancer Rowan and businessman John meet competitive Holly and Ollie, and Sally and Joanne in their matching tie-dye outfits.

This edition heads to East Sussex where engaged couple Tony and Ami kick off with an evening of raucous fun, but the rock-solid banoffee pies prove a challenge for the other guests.

In South Wales, beautician Rachael and her partner Nick begin the competition by upping the ante and cooking dishes they've never made before, and Ameel showcases his amazing powers.

This episode comes from Ashford, Kent, where first to host are Francophiles Stephanie and Ian, who amaze their guests by living in a tiny version of the Palace of Versailles.

In Durham, hosts Steph and James kick off with a night of gastropub favourites, that's if they can get through the day without falling out. Steph is definitely the boss and James knows it.

In East London, Stephen and Andrew kick off with a cosy menu inspired by their love of all things homely. But the pressure in the kitchen gets to them, and the food fails to impress.

First up in Blackpool are practicing Buddhist Antonio and ex-redcoat Jason. But Daz and Kim are unsure about the sushi starter and foodies Martin and Kate are also proving tough to impress.

In Luton, Shawn and Kendra's menu is inspired by their travels and Canadian heritage. But things don't go to plan when their ice cream curdles and Shawn has an eggy mishap.

In Swansea and Bridgend, an Italian menu is overshadowed by tactless banter, there's a starter of chicken lettuce boats, and a final showdown at the table.

Hannah and Fiona kick off the dinner party competition in and around Newcastle, with their Moroccan-themed menu based solely on their love of houmous.

In north Devon, Kate and Ian entertain their guests with one of their favourite birds of prey, but will a surprise discovery make Chris and Amy's meal hard to stomach.

In Essex and east London, Spencer and Sara kick off the competition with a simple Jewish feast. But will reserved Lauren and Jack be put off by Spencer's loud personality.

In Bournemouth, Jackie and Richard's night has a few celebrity names thrown in for good measure. Rivals Ross and Hanne think they've got it sewn up, but there's more bragging than cooking.

This episode, from Kent, features an egg phobia, a banter battle, an impromptu proposal and a haka. And one contestant puts his foot in it with his own fiancée. Twice.

This episode from East Anglia features a performance from unlikely rappers, a confusing spaghetti marrow main course, too many cooks and a fire alarm.

In Sheffield, there's non-stop bickering and an evening of romance as car salesman Paul and his partner Sara compete with newlyweds Russell and Shane and kooky duo Janine and Neil.

Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight: Maddi and her husband Givon start the competition with a night of fine champagne and fusion food inspired by their Sri Lankan heritage and British roots.

Bradford and Huddersfield: Sophie and Harj kick off with a Mexican menu - that's if Harj can find his way around the kitchen. And will Sean's meat feast prove too much for squeamish Sophie.

In Worthing and Portsmouth, can 22-year-old pair Micaela and Sanchez show their older rivals how to have a good time with a combination of Jamaican/Filipino food and hip hop dancing.

Childhood sweethearts Richard and Andrea kick off with an all-Italian menu, even though their only connection with Italy is Richard's third cousin Chris who lives down the road.

In Gloucestershire, Angela's blender malfunctions and sprays her with gravy, and Paul and Debbie offend their hosts by questioning the intelligence of their beloved Chihuahuas.

In Bristol, guests are treated to a night of conversation about romantic meetings, outrageous shirts and naked gardening. And some purple potato mash which is more like play-doh.

In Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, there's a one-man comedy show, a posh take on some Yorkshire classic dishes, and a big surprise in store for one of the guests.

In Cornwall, Sam and Nick share their mutual love of Friesian cows and plans to survive a zombie apocalypse. But can their simple food done well make up for the weirdness.

In Cheltenham, ditzy youngsters Will and Kim keep everyone entertained with their lack of general knowledge and random comments. And can Pasha's Persian rice pudding win the grand.

Sue and Shaun kick things off in Bournemouth with a Mediterranean menu but one guest proves difficult to impress. And perfectly preened pair John and Livi add some glamour to proceedings.

North Somerset: Property developer Norman and his partner Dee kick off with an Indian menu, which proves a little too spicy for guests Brett and Vicky, and love birds Ashley and Sophie.

In Essex, deep fried jam sandwiches prove too stodgy for most of the guests, a refined dining experience is a hit, but it's one guest's love for burlesque that grabs most attention.
