Yakari and his friends celebrate the arrival of autumn with an exciting annual horse race called the Seven Fires; however, this is not going to be a walk in the park, as two skilled men participate too. Can the newcomers hope for success?

Rejected by Speedy Turtle after the arrival of a puppy in the camp, Droopy Ear runs away; however, it's a dangerous place out there, filled with hardship, storms, and wolverines. Will the dog see that he is the woman's preferred companion?
