Caitlin Mchale runs away from home to participate in an experimental new therapy method where she meets cunning journalist Jasmin Whitt, self-obsessed pop idol Miles Kelsey, and the imposing inventor of the method, Dr. Thomas Monaghan.

Having returned to their respective homes, Caitlin, Jasmin, and Miles each confront their own pasts and find new resolves.

Returning to where it all started, the trio plan to put an end to Monaghan's dangerous movement once and for all, and maybe their own suffering along with it.
