British born Rachel, and lifelong Californian Josh fell in love when Rachel was on vacation on the West Coast during college. Now they're married and the proud parents of 18 month old Vivienne, and it's time to put down some roots in sunny San Diego.

San Diego dwellers Carleigh and Kevin are getting ready for an intense 9 weeks. Specifically, they'll be buying their first home, and welcoming their first child into the world.... hopefully in that order! They're determined to be close to the beach, and are willing to go tiny to make that happen. But is 500 square feet really enough space for three, even if one is a rugrat? Time will tell.

Jared and Lindsay did exactly what they were "supposed to". They met. They married. They managed to buy the big house. But it didn't take long for them to realize that the expectations of life were coming up short for them personally. They found too much house space was keeping them in debt and stressed out.

Gregoire and Christopher both grew up on the East Coast, but are now confirmed San Franciscans. Christopher is a flight attendant for a major airline, and Gregoire works in web marketing. They've been together for eight years, and when Prop 8 was finally overturned in 2013, they were among the first to get married at San Francisco City Hall.
