The WKRP staff reflect on their lives when Les announces that Russian missiles are headed towards Ohio.

The staff put on a radio drama, a la "War of the Worlds" for ratings, and Herb gets caught up in the fallout.

Venus returns for a visit while traveling for his new job as CEO of a media company, but gets snowed in. He makes many demands of the staff while attempting to conduct business.

Donovan hires three inner-city youth as interns, but problems ensue when they are almost immediately accused of theft.

Claire's new boyfriend also seems to have an eye for Mona.

The station is forced to lay off a DJ, but due to a mix up, he is let back on the air where he barricades himself in the booth.

Jennifer returns with her finance, a Prince, but her friends at the station are convinced he is using her for her money and ruin her wedding party.

Les Nessman gets a call from a man claiming to be Elvis Presley back from the dead who offers an exclusive interview. Nearby rival station WPIG is hosting an Elvis lookalike contest.

Herb is trying to get a guy to have the station do ads for him. Herb offers Mona as an enticement but the guy is more interested in Herb.
