Gene and Pat try to help a minister rid a town of crooked politicians and gamblers and are accused of murder.

After Pat bets and loses the town's school building fund in a crooked chariot race, it's up to Gene to win the fund back.

A hard-headed young woman inherits the ranch where Gene and Pat are working and won't honor the verbal monetary agreement Gene had with the former owner. At Pat's instigation, Gene and the other ranch hands try to convince the new owner that the ranch is haunted.

Postal inspectors attempting to close down a lonely hearts club racket accuse Gene and Pat of being the ringleaders.

Pat and Gene pretend to be bitter enemies in order to smoke out a murderous gang of counterfeiters. Their plan works too well - the gang leader hires Pat to kill Gene and sends his right-hand man to make sure that Gene's sidekick does the job right.

With the help of a pretty schoolteacher, Gene and Pat set up a ranch as a home for underprivileged boys. A gang of owlhoots try to force Gene off the ranch by making it appear he's not providing a safe place for the boys to live.

Gene hires a parolee to help out on his boys' ranch even though the former criminal will inherit the ranch if Gene is proved to unsafe home for his young charges.

Pickett's plans to gain control of the Flying "A" Ranch hits a snag when he learns that the disgraced heir, Big Jim Weston, has a child.

Gene and Pat stop a empty stagecoach racing along the road. They backtrack and find the wounded driver and a passenger who claims to be a detective tracking a suspect in a mining disaster.
