In the first of a two-part special, inspector Lyndsey rescues four dogs from a squalid house in Accrington, Lancashire. Three of the pups had been shut into separate rooms and were living in their own waste. The programme also catches up with Mogwai and Yoga, two pups which captured hearts in a previous series and were nursed back to health after being abandoned in the dark and rain. Plus, Alan discovers how Shar Pei Ana's life is about to change for the better thanks to some specialist care.
