Stella tells Alan that she will give Michael the cold shoulder for a few days before relenting. However local bookie, Iwan, has decided to run for local council too and seems like the new hot favourite to be elected. Michael gives Aunty Brenda advice but will it be enough to help Aunty Brenda win? Meanwhile Ben's date with Lily turns out to be a disaster and Paula finally finds a new turning point in life. Also Stella and Michael seem as though they might still hold a candle for eachother, as together they find out what Iwan is really up to.

Almost back together Stella and Michael are asked by Alan and Celia to be best man and maid of honour at their wedding, with Dai Davies giving the groom away. Due to a mix-up for the stag and hen parties the stags arrive at a spa whilst the hens end up paint-balling but the bride and groom love it and they decide that the wedding will go ahead even though financial difficulties mean the café must close. Stella is thrilled to learn that she has not only passed her first year nursing exam but, due to the unexpected support of Cheryl, has qualified for a second year scholarship. She is also pleased, but with reservations, that Michael has got the London post.
