Pete is unsure about the prospect of actual space travel, but he and the kids help Big Bird build the rocket by following a diagram. Big Bird realizes he can't go to the Moon just now - Animation "The King of Eight" Big Bird returns with a bag of birdseed, but Pete tells him that the rocket is merely a model and can't actually fly. Big Bird knows this and intends to reach the Moon using his imagination. He envisions himself riding on the rocket through ...

Mr. Hooper has a big tub of ice cream, which he thinks he'll sell to everyone, since everyone likes ice cream - Muppets-Three Anything Muppets sing "Everyone Likes Ice Cream"

Oscar the Grouch wants to borrow string from Big Bird, a safety pin from Susan, and a stick from Gordon. Big Bird thinks Oscar is going to use them to pop balloons and knock down kites in the park. Gordon realizes that Oscar wants to go fishing, and uses the objects to make a fishing pole.

It's nighttime on Sesame Street and Bob asks the kids (off-screen) to listen to the quiet for a minute. Some sounds are heard that the announcer asks them to identify: a cat meowing, Oscar the Grouch and Big Bird snoring, and a fire engine in the distance. "Aren't night sounds interesting?" The kids greet the viewer, when a voice-over introduces a story from Bob and Grover - Muppets-Grover takes part in Bob's story: "Cutie and the Beast." Princess Cutie falls in love with the beast (Grover) and her father, the king, believes that when kissed, he will break whatever spell he's under and turn into a handsome prince.
