The IMF crisis causes Ahjin Motors to file for court receivership. Chairman Jin wants to acquire the company, but Do Joon stops him at all costs. However, things get difficult for Do Joon as Cheongwadae steps in to mediate the acquisition.

Do Joon convinces Se Hyun to acquire Jaea Construction to build a digital media city in Sangam-dong. Soonyang also eyes that area. Chang-je gets elected as the new mayor of Seoul.

Do Jun appears in front of Chairman Jin as the majority shareholder of Miracle Investment. Chairman Jin tells Do Jun that he'll never be able to buy Soonyang with his money.
