Bungle keeps whining about his breakfast. Rod, Jane and Freddy don't feel like singing a song. And when Zippy starts whining over the cherries on a cake, Geoffrey has had enough and gets very cross.

As Geoffrey reads the story of Mr. Know-It-All, all the others play a part in performing it. Afterwards, Geoffrey reads a Tat the Cat story to boot.

When Jane cancels a picnic because of the rain, Geoffrey, Zippy and Bungle all get very moody and blame poor old George.

Geoffrey and the others celebrate Jane's birthday.

Bungle doesn't want to put his things away after using them so Geoffrey explains that there are things they must do even when they don't want to.

Geoffrey finds a book of magic while looking for the Rainbow storybook and tries out some spells that summon Bungle from his work in the garden and later, from having his bath. Meanwhile Wizard Wellbeloved is looking for his lost book.

Bungle has lost his t-shirt, but detective Zippy is on the case.

Everybody is looking up into the sky but only Geoffrey seems to know why. Zippy is playing with a toy helicopter and making a lot of noise.

Geoffrey explains about sea live and pretend to be deep-sea diver with Bungle. George says he would like a fish tank, but Zippy prefers Fish and chips.

The Rainbow gang explore things that grow and live in the ground. Geoffrey visits a cave.

Geoffrey has made a jelly that looks like a mountain. He shows a film of mountain climbing in Austria and climbs a hill himself. Zippy and George make a mountain from building blocks and Bungle pretends to be king of the mountain.

Everybody has to squash together when Geoffrey takes a picture with his new Polaroid camera. Later Feddy is looking for his maracas. Therefore Geoffrey decides to make some shakers out of old tins filled with peas and rice.

The Rainbow gang are all still playing with the shakers they made last time. Everybody needs room to spread when they play in the garden. Especially when they throw beanbags made out of old socks at each other to catch.

Geoffrey teaches the others about being for and healthy but Zippy sneaks off to eat cakes.

Zippy, Geoffrey, Bungle and Geoffrey find out how hard is to hold to things.

Geoffrey is performing magic tricks with a matchbox and makes several pointy magicians hats. Wearing one of these, Zippy makes Bungle's new shorts disappear as well as a matchbox. Bungle doesn't have a hat so his magic doesn't work. He still makes an entire box of chocolates disappear into his tummy. Finally, George makes everybody but himself disappear.

Zippy and George have made puppets out of paper plates. But George has trouble saying 'no' to anyone and finds himself being taken advantage of when the others leave the house for a while.

George needs help making his sock puppet but is too shy to ask the others.
