Rags to Riches - Season 1 (1987)

Duke is the good looking cool guy at school, and Diane is hooked. The only thing is, his friends have a reputation for carrying a little black book. And Nick knows all about it after comparing parenting notes with his golf buddy. He makes a deal with Diane that if she stays away from Duke, he will stay away from his latest romantic interest, the classy Jessica. Is Duke really interested in Diane, or is she just a name to add to the book? Will Nick keep his end of the bargain to keep his daughter safe?

Marva wants to start her own business but Nick says he won't help her so she decides to go into to business on her own and buys an old food truck. But her perfect calculations however hadn't counted on a backstabbing competitor.

Patty thinks she has found her biological mother. Then makes a deal with Nick that she will relent off her search for a while, if Nick stays on the same street corner where she saw the woman for an entire week.

Nick's brother Frankie shows up unexpectedly and rekindles old wounds between them. In the meantime, Patty gets in trouble at school for using uncle Frankie's tactics to get even with another student.

Diane goes for her permit only to get involved with two swindlers try to fake an injury lawsuit against Diane when she gets into an accident with their vehicle.
