Selfmade Paris art dealer Vincent's second wife Juliette is fatally stabbed by their lush villa's pool. He left his first wife and their adolescent son Anthony for Juliette, who apparently had an affair. She was recently contacted by her destitute junkie father. Vincent, whose corpse is soon found in an abandoned stolen car, ran the firm with his poorly paid cousin Blondeau and a devote secretary.
