Pommetje Horlepiep - Season 3 (1979)

Still disguised as detectives, Pommetje and Baldi find their automobile has disappeared. Ieke Maris bumps into officer Geitebrei and tells him she saw two strange men driving around in Baron Baldi's car.

Ieke wants to find out from Baldi if he is really as tight with his money as people say or if he acts as a secret benefactor to the needy instead. Pommetje asks her to hire his friend Seye Kientjes.

The Baron intends to help a poor family find a new means of income, but the woman of the house refuses to accept his charity. So Pommetje suggests to ask another woman to talk to her: Ieke Maris.

Ieke Maris has more success offering a new job and a new home to the entire Kraats family than Baldi and Pom before her. Best of all, for once this charity won't cost Baron Baldi a thing.

Baron Baldi instructs Pommetje to find Gerrit de Pittenkauwer, a mysterious tramp who helped the Baron's brother 14 years earlier. Meanwhile, over in the village a rumor is quickly spreading about Ieke Maris being a Dutchess.

When the Baron and Pommetje suspect there is a burglar up in the attic, Officer Geitebrei is fetched in the middle of the night to investigate.

Baldi's uncle Henri from France arrives without any prior notice. Ieke Maris asks Baldi if he would like to accompany her to a Shubert recital. The Baron in turn asks her to help him get rid of his uncle.

Baron Baldi is having a very bad day. Uncle Henri sends him the bill for two new suits, and when Pommetje has the nerve to speaks back to him, tempers rise on both sides and the baron fires Pommetje on the spot. Pommetje packs up his belongings and moves back in with his mother, Maaike.

The Baron receives a Scottish record in the mail and promptly decides to organize a song and dance night. Although he did not prepare for the unexpected arrival of his sister Adeline and her husband Frederik, they join in the fun without any fuss.
