When trying to protect a woman, Nadja Flemming, from two harassers, Katrin König is beaten by them. She is also under pressure professionally: the serial offender Guido Wachs, whom she has put behind bars with manipulated evidence, tries to blackmail her. König is supposed to help him get back in touch with his wife or he accuses her of her offense. A little later, Nadja Flemming is found stabbed with a knife.

After a blind date with an Internet acquaintance, the young domestic nurse Valerie Klein disappears. Her best friend and neighbor Sandra Möller wakes up the next morning to the cry of Valerie's daughter Janet.
