Carmen is increasingly convinced there's a mole in her organisation; John is arrested by the police on suspicion of failing to stop after an accident.

The Mexican cartel send a delegation to the Netherlands to interrogate Carmen and Rosales; a police operation is set up, headed by Jim Leeflang, aiming to arrest them as soon as they make contact.

Carmen dives below on an old houseboat ever by French and decision to give itself to further danger for her family. Call them Jim Laguna to an appointment and let Luther protect children and do research on Storm. But then comes Saini from prison.

Carmen comes up with a plan to get the seized drugs back from the Justice Department and return them to the Mexican cartel; Leeflang tries to get Natalie on his side, and John decides he's had enough.

Carmen organises a meeting to clear the air and draw a line under the past, but Berry isn't easily pacified and plots to steal the drugs; property tycoon Jack van Zon visits Sandrina and Simon Zwart.

Social Services threaten to remove Carmen's parental authority; she asks Luther to take little Irwan to safety while she makes preparations to leave the country; Jack van Zon holds Sandrina hostage.

Carmen's plan to flee abroad with the children has come together, but the net is closing around her and Jim Leeflang is hot on her heels.
