Drew tells Amy about Kristina's illness and her sympathy kiss turns into something much deeper. Kristina is preparing for her chemotherapy, but becomes overwhelmed when Camille comes to stay with her. Julia and Joel try to help Victor fit in better. Amber and Ryan take the next step in their relationship, but when Zeek finds out, he shares with Sarah that Ryan may not be ready to be in a relationship.

A weekend full of activity unfolds for the Bravermans as party planning, road trips, and parenting dilemmas provide the family with some unexpected experiences.

Max vetoes the student council's plans to have a school dance. Julia isn't excited about Joel's plan to return to work. Mark and Sarah's plans to spend a weekend in Napa are thwarted when Hank asks Sarah to help him resolve his ex-wife/daughter issues that same weekend in L.A. A neighbor of the Luncheonette complains to Crosby about their clients taking up parking spaces and making noise. Amber becomes increasing worried about Ryan's depression.

Sarah deepens her involvement with Hank, further straining her relationship with Mark. Julia experiments with new techniques to alleviate Victor's frustration with school. Meanwhile, Amber helps Ryan secure a job working on Joel's construction crew.

Christmas with the Bravermans brings the family closer together.

Jasmine and Crosby contemplate the future of their family as they welcome a new roommate. Kristina and Adam go on a much needed date night after she makes a drastic change to her appearance.

Drew and Amy receive overwhelming news. Adam and Kristina help Max adjust to teenage life. Meanwhile, Victor presents new challenges for Julia and Joel.

Julia and Joel struggle with a difficult decision involving Victor. Crosby and Jasmine are frustrated with Renee, causing tension in the house. Meanwhile, Kristina helps Max fight for a cause that he is passionate about.

Jasmine and Crosby celebrate their anniversary and receive exciting news while Julia and Joel plan a family event.
