Morgan substitute teaches at two public schools within walking distance of each other, one that is zoned for a wealthy town, and one that is zoned for the inner city.

To explore the complexities of dying in America, Morgan volunteers for an 'end of life' care organization. Our current Medicare debate, rising health care costs, and the systemic practice of prolonging life by any means necessary have made this an issue that every American must face.

Morgan goes to work for a bankrupt municipality and explores up close what severe budget cuts mean to a city. Morgan will spend a day in each of the city's departments - from the Mayor's staff of one, and the fire department that has cut it's size by 90%, to the sanitation department that doesn't have the manpower to keep up with garbage removal.

Morgan Spurlock spends time living and working with a family of Nebraska ranchers affected by last year's severe drought.
