Love & Money - Season 1 (1999)

Nicholas collapses and is diagnosed as suffering from stress. A meter detects Allison and Eamon's relationship and Nicky's slacker ways to have the strongest effect. Nicholas decides to get to know Eamon better, and push Nicky to discuss career goals.

Allison gives Finn an expensive birthday gift, which provokes a fight with Eamon. Nicholas schemes to get Allison back together with her former fiance Howard, and takes advantage of the rift between lovers.

When Effie's escort cancels, she takes Finn to the opera at the last minute. He creates a persona to impress Effie's friends, which snowballs to gossip column rumors of troubles in the Conklin marriage. Effie becomes infuriated by Nicholas's lack of concern.
