There's a murder in an ice skating arena and some hockey players are involved.

Hans and Paul Tomek are twin brothers in their thirties. Hans is a successful and wealthy stockbroker who is about to depart for New York. When Paul decides to kill him and take his place he soon runs into difficulties. He is blackmailed by a former mate who recognizes him because of a tattoo and Hans' girlfriend also realizes that he is not Hans. Paul kills his former mate and tries to silence the girl. Will Brandtner and Rex arrive in time?

A serial killer is dumping womens bodies at local cemeteries during nights when the moon is full, killing them and cutting off their hair with a razor. When a third murder is committed, Alex and Rex must find a link between the killings.

Opening scene: Walz, policeman suspended for 4 weeks, follows Hanusch down into Vienna's catacombs. Hanusch shoots him. Walz is found dead the next day in a container.
