After a discussion with Doc Porterhouse, Corrinda decides what to do about her pregnancy. During this time, Heather continues her professional manoeuvrings. Things take an unusual turn at Crim's trial for Larry's murder. Those in the viewing area include Marnie who is Ricky's eyes and ears as he investigates the murder, and Death himself. After Heather is found murdered, her arch rival Corrinda is taken in for questioning as a suspect. An unusual piece of evidence weakens the case against Corrinda. As Heather's murder is deemed similar to Larry's and possibly done by the same person, some question Crim's guilt for Larry's murder, Crim's trial which is still proceeding and he who was in custody at the time of Heather's death.
