Kelly Monteith - Season 1 (1979)

In this first episode we get introduced to Kelly, his problems with being a comedian, his recurring dream of his wife spending all his money, speeding policemen, gender roles in old movies, restaurant service and business meetings.

Kelly discusses what it's like to be recently married, and the temptations associated with being unavailable to other women. Frustrations lead from too much sex on TV, the difficulties of ice trays, making lists, discos and jealousy.

Kelly takes his wife to a restaurant to try and rekindle the spark in their marriage. Along the way he discusses faulty goods, the lack of realism on TV, sharing bathrooms, Italian art films, impotence and seeing a marriage counsellor.
