Jon & Kate Plus 8 - Season 4 (2008)

Instead of having a huge party for the sextuplets as the family has done on previous birthdays, the Gosselins keep it low key this year. The whole family travels to a bakery where each of the eight kids makes their own cupcake topped with lots of icing.

Jon decides to prepare an authentic Korean dinner for the whole family. With all the special ingredients at hand, Jon begins cooking the meal, which will take all day to prepare.

Now that Jon and Kate have seen many episodes of themselves on TV, they each share some of their favorite moments as well as ones they're not so proud of.

All eight kids go with Jon and Kate to Sesame Place, an amusement park centered around the Sesame Street characters. Even with the temperature topping 100 degrees, the family has fun as they ride together and meet Elmo, Big Bird, Bert & Ernie, and many more familiar characters.

The Gosselins head to Strasburg Rail Road where they ride the kids' favorite train, Thomas the Tank Engine as well as other locomotives.

With their eight kids in tow, Jon and Kate begin their summer vacation and head for the beach. Along the way they stop to look at two potential properties for their next home.

In North Carolina on their beach vacation, the Gosselins take a beach-side tour of wild horses in a Jeep. Then, after getting hermit crabs for the big girls, they visit a lighthouse where some members of the family discover their fear of heights.

Continuing their vacation in North Carolina, Jon and Kate decide to brave the beach once again and take the kids to play in the sand and swim in the water. Back at the beach house later in the day, the kids take swimming lessons, a first for the little kids, and use pudding for finger and body painting.

When the Fourth of July rolls around, the Gosselins are still in North Carolina on their beach vacation. They celebrate with a big seafood feast, hair wrapping for the girls, and watch the fireworks display.

Jon, Kate, and all eight kids visit the Hershey Medical Center, where Kate gave birth to the sextuplets. Although the sextuplets themselves don't remember anything, visiting the Center brings back powerful memories for Jon and Kate, and even Mady and Cara.

Jon and Kate decide to have a backyard camp-out, complete with campfires and s'mores, with all eight kids. But stormy weather threatens to keep them inside.

Kate and Jon take all the kids to the Sight and Sound Museum where they watch a show depicting the story of Adam and Eve.

Jon and Kate receive around 3000 emails a week and although they can't answer emails everyday, they do enjoy responding to the questions they get asked. They answer questions about everything, from the personalities of the kids, to the parenting styles of Jon and Kate, and what the future holds for their family of ten.

Kate leaves for New York on a business trip, leaving Jon at home to take care of all eight kids. The added stress of doing everything on his own shows Jon how hard it is for one parent to take care of all eight.

As the summer comes to a close, Cara and Mady return to school and the sextuplets enter their first year of preschool. It's a mad dash as Jon and Kate try to get all six 4-year-olds to school on time.

Jon takes Cara and the boys to see a baseball game while Kate stays home with Mady and the girls. At the game, Jon and the kids meet many famous baseball players and managers.

Jon and Kate always wanted to get married in Hawaii. So when a resort in Maui invites them to stay with them, Jon and Kate decide it will be the perfect opportunity to renew their wedding vows. The family prepares for their flight to Hawaii with a connection in San Diego.

While in San Diego for five days in order to brace themselves for the time difference, the Gosselins enjoy playing on the beach, running around Legoland, and meeting new animals on a safari. At the end of their trip, they head off to Hawaii!

After departing from San Diego, the Gosselins arrive in Hawaii. Once there the family enjoys many special activities including swimming, snorkeling, making leis, boat rides, and much more. Jon and Kate make plans for their upcoming vow renewal.

Once Jon and Kate and their eight children arrive in Hawaii, they finalize the plans for their vow renewal. Jon and Kate plan on including all eight kids in the ceremony that will take place next to the beautiful Hawaiian shore.

In order to get rid of their unused stuff, the Gosselins hold a big yard sale with proceeds going to pediatric research. But what starts as a promising idea may become a disaster.

While promoting their book, "Multiple Blessings", Jon, Kate, and all eight kids spend the day in New York City. After they finish their interviews, they take a carriage ride through Central Park.

Mady and Cara want to be mommies for the day. So while Kate brings out the kids' fall clothes, the twins take on all of her normal responsibilities. But Mady and Cara soon find out that being a mommy isn't as easy as they thought it would be.

The Gosselin family wants to give back during the holiday season. So they travel to Memphis to buy and donate presents to St.Jude's Children's Hospital.

Kate makes her annual soup that she freezes for the winter, but a stove mishap delays her plans. Then at dinner, Jon and Kate have a surprise for the kids.

The sextuplets return to the dentist for their six-month check-up. Then Kate takes Mady and Cara to see the orthodontist; Mady will have to get braces, Cara will not for a few years.

Kate and Jon sit down, once again, to answer more questions about their family. They talk about everything, from the kid with the loudest scream, to the crew's favorite moments, to Jon and Kate's plans after the kids leave home.

Jon and Kate take the kids for their first visit to the new house. Although Kate feels that she is nowhere close to feeling settled in, both parents and all the kids are excited about a larger house with much more space and privacy.

It's moving day and although the family is ready to leave their old home and start living in their new house, Kate still feels disorganized. With many boxes to label and load and all the furniture to dismantle, the family has their work cut out for them.

While Kate is away, Jon takes the sextuplets for their second walk through the woods. After the walk turns out to be a bad idea, Jon hopes a tractor ride with each of the kids will save the day.

Jon and Kate put some final touches on their new house to make it their own. New washers and dryers, a fresh coat of paint, and a re-tiled floor should do the trick.

The Gosselins get two German Shepherd puppies for Christmas. But it doesn't take long before the family realizes how much work these puppies will take.

The Gosselin family returns to their old house to clear out the rest of their belongings and to put the house up for sale. In the process, the family recalls all of their treasured memories and looks forward to enjoying life in their new home.

The Gosselin family's two dogs, Shoka and Nala, love to chew on anything they can get their paws on, including the kids' toys. So when Nala suddenly gets very sick, the family is not surprised when they discover the cause.

Remembering how much fun they had in Utah, Cara and Jon return to the slopes to play some winter sports, including skiing, tubing, and bobsledding. Back at home, Kate takes Mady to get her braces adjusted before taking all seven kids to a Sesame Street show.

After the kids get their hair cut, Jon and Kate take them to see the Harlem Globetrotters.

While Jon is away, Kate takes the kids to paint their own canvasses and explore a "Please Touch" museum. Then Jon and Kate discuss their ongoing challenges with the show and how it has affected their lives.

The Gosselin family is going green this year with the help of Planet Green's Renovation Nation host, Steve Thomas. From solar panels to eco-friendly lightbulbs, the family is transforming their new house into an eco-savy home.
