Invasion - Season 1 (1997)

A rock falls and infects someone. Then this rock mysteriously returns to the clouds going right through someone's hand burning a hole in the fellow's hand and exiting the building. Then a bunch of rocks fall and lots of people start being infected. This is very much like the beginning of "The Body Snatchers".

More people are infected by the rocks. The police finally start getting interested and many get infected. Infected officials impede progress. There is little or no external indication of infection on most people. Plans are revealed for an infection gateway to infect the masses. Unfortunately, the show ends without resolution. "To be continued..." but it never was.

Robin Cook - the master of medical thrillers - has imagined a virus nothing can stop from spreading. It all starts when a meteorite is discovered in the parking lot of a diner in Phoenix and a strange flu spreads through the city, manifesting bizarre symptoms and making people feel inexplicably euphoric.
