Saverio, with the support of Captain Bonanno's Carabinieri, manages to get back on the trail of Mico Farinella. Finally, after months of waiting, the investigation has tightened the noose around the neck of the Madonie boss.

Bagarella has started a war. A trail of bodies lies between Corleone and Villabate, which forms a unit out of the investigating team Mazza/Barone, but it also leads to Saverio spending more and more time away from home trying to understand what is happening.

Barbagallo turns out to be the key to the investigation. Thanks to his confession, Saverio and Mazza can try to dismember the Di Peri clan and, even without approaching Bagarella, put an end to that bloody war.

Bagarella, in mourning, decides to suspend the war. Tony has the opportunity to dedicate himself to a new business venture: a jeans store to be managed together with Tullio Cannella.

The investigation on Raja has unveiled Di Filippo's hideout. They stake out the place and plant listening devices, waiting for something that could take them to Bagarella.

Saverio and Mazza have Tony Calvaruso and his shop in their sights. Following this they identify the building where Bagarella is most likely hiding.

After Bagarella's arrest follow those of some of his supporters, including Tony Calvaruso. The prosecutor's office is filled with joy.

Five months have passed and Saverio has changed: balanced, serene, and he is getting married. At the center of the investigation are the last of Bagarella's men who are still at large.

Bagarella's evasion plan is off and Brusca can cheer: now he has a castle, an arsenal, a drug trafficking operation all of his own and Don Luchino is out of the way.
