Hudson Street - Season 1 (1995)

Melanie takes an interest in a young purse snatcher and launches a sympathetic media campaign for him. It all backfires on her.

Melanie's ex is celebrated jock Leonard Collins. Everyone is enthralled and Tony quickly befriends him. Then he tells Melanie a secret.

Tony is the king of the hit parade. Pranks on his co-workers are called hits. Everybody loves it except Melanie.

Lucy is getting remarried and invites Tony for dinner. Tony takes along Melanie.

Tony wants Melanie's source for a story. She refuses to surrender her source and gets locked up in jail.

Melanie doesn't do Thanksgiving family gatherings. Tony is about to invited her to his mother's when Jay invites her to a ski cabin. Her car breaks down and Tony volunteers to drive her.

Melanie's college roommate Allison (Jami Gertz) has come for a visit. To her dismay, Allison starts dating Tony.

The station is throwing the annual party for Frank Sinatra's birthday but the guest of honor has never shown up. Tony's son Mickey is getting into trouble at school due to his new best friend.

Mickey has a date. Tony claims that there is a Canetti curse for their romances. It's the mayor's Christmas Ball. Tony and Melanie are going stag or so they say. Jay asks out Melanie.

Tony gets a minor bullet wound and to Melanie's horror, nobody is treating it seriously. Tony is forced to see a psychiatrist and his father's killing is brought up. A prisoner escapes through the vent and Regelski gets stuck in the wall.

Lucy's wedding is approaching. She walks down memory lane with Tony and they spend the night together. Kirby gets annoyed at the baby hints and becomes attached to a dog.

Melanie is short of money after Tony finds her cash to be counterfeit. The cops stake out from her apartment. Tony needs a costume for Mickey. Regelski makes an internet love connection.

Lucy asks Tony to give her away at her wedding to Bob. She has cold feet during the ceremony. Al calls in a psychic to solve a case.

Lucy is throwing a dinner party after canceling the wedding. Tony is stuck with Mickey's math homework. Kirby is distraught after getting a marriage proposal. The VP may be coming to town.

Tony rescues a cat and becomes a hero on the TV news. He starts to enjoy the adulation. The chief is leaving the force and Al is hoping for a promotion.

The station gets an abandoned baby. Tony misses her when she gets taken away by social services. He tries to adopt but there are difficulties. Regelski has a crush on his Chinese dry cleaner.

It's Tony's 40th birthday. Regelski needs a man-buddy. Mayor's lackey Richard has ordered a team retreat for the group.

Tony and Kirby are assigned to art gallery owner Elizabeth Owens and investigate a robbery on her opening night. Tony falls for her but something is fishy about the gallery. Mickey wants privacy from Lucy.

The police is moving to a new building. The group recounts stories from the past.
