Eddie checks out Toronto by embedding himself in a handful of immigrant communities to better understand how ethnic food flourishes under the support of multiculturalism.

While other cultures will take culture and want credit or recognition for recreating culture in their own light, Japanese people sacrifice themselves and dedicate themselves to their craft. It's all about respect, discipline, and utilitarianism. When they do this they make the best product; but sometimes this dedication and discipline can be suffocating. You become a servant to ideas and forget that some rules are meant to be broken. Eddie travels through Japan looking into individualism and how this has helped and hurt the Japanese.
