Bei Jie gets Ping Ting away from Consort Zhang and attempts to clear his name. A foreign princess plans to visit Jin State.

Ping Ting extracts a promise from Bei Jie. Consort Zhang consults with her father. King of Jin State decides to avenge Consort Zhang's hurt feelings.

Ping Ting is suspicious when she learns He Xia and Dong Zhong are keeping her in the dark. Chu Bei Jie pays a visit to the King of Yan. Yao Tian arrives at Jin State and asks for help.

He Xia and Yao Tian make plans together. Before Bei Jie leaves to attack Liang state, Consort Zhang hears that the king wants to find him a wife. Consort Zhang speaks to Bei Jie honestly. Ping Ting meets an old friend on the road.

Ping Ting decides to help Liang state for Yang Feng's sake even if it means fighting against Bei Jie. He Xia romances Yao Tian.

Yao Tian anticipates power struggles with her return to Bai Lan. Chancellor Zhang plots to eliminate obstacles in his assassination plan. Ping Ting rushes to uncover Bei Jie's strategy, and takes a risk in opposing Jin state army's attack.

A bold move from Bei Jie causes a dangerous situation for him and Ping Ting, but also forces them to consider their relationship.

Ping Ting is horrified to learn that her plan to distract the Jin army has been abused and led to murder, endangering Bei Jie. He Xia's true personality emerges.

The King of Jin struggles with the shock of his friend supposedly turning against him, while Ping Ting struggles with her plan to rescue Bei Jie from prison.

Ping Ting places herself at the mercy of King of Jin state, who orders Bei Jie to kill her for the murder of the princes. More of Chancellor Zhang and Consort Zhang 's plan is revealed. Consort Zhang visits the Queen of Jin.

Bei Jie returns to his country home for news from Zui Ju. Once Princess Yao Tian is finally back in Bai Lan State, her courtiers urge her to choose a husband quickly. Prime Minister Gui is displeased to learn she already has He Xia in mind.

Zui Ju attempts a new treatment for Ping Ting. Yao Tian shocks her court by accepting a marriage proposal. Bei Jie worries that the country house is no longer safe for Ping Ting. Yao Tian and her husband celebrate their marriage.

Consort Zhang and Chancellor Zhang adjust their plans. Bei Jie makes arrangements for Ping Ting to leave Jin state secretly even though they will be separated. He Xia's proposed reforms are not welcomed in Bai Lan court.

Ping Ting makes her case to Bei Jie that they should stay together. Consort Zhang tries to make the King of Jin suspicious of Bei Jie. In the final day or mourning many pay final respects to the young princes and Queen of Jin.

The King of Jin's health begins to affect his decisions, resulting in a demotion for Bei Jie and misplacement of military power at a crucial time. He Xia uses his time in Jin to further has plans and to confront Bei Jie.

Prince Consort gains control of the military. Bei Jie is forced into a losing military situation due to conspiracies in the Jin palace. Mount East country house is set on fire to smoke out its occupants. Consort Zhang's plot moves forward.

Ping Ting attempts a last ditch effort to stop the Liang army from attacking the Jin army. Later, Ping Ting dresses Chu Bei Jie's wounds when they reunite. Bei Jie faces He Xia following an invitation from Bai Lan.

Chancellor Zhang furthers his conspiracy, though elements of the Imperial Court doubt him. Yao Tian must negotiate the Bai Lan court carefully for He Xia's sake. Ping Ting and Bei Jie are jumped by assassins and adjust their plans.

The news of Ping Ting and Bei Jie's deaths spreads. Chancellor Zhang plans with King of Yan state as Jin state unravels. King of Jin's health deteriorates.

He Xia discovers the extent to which the Gui family has affected Bai Lan's military. The Yan army instigates a rebellion in Jin state, and Bei Jie and Ping Ting must find a way to help Jin.

Bei Jie and Ping Ting work to break up the rebellion and save the King of Jin. Consort Zhang refuses to flee with her father, believing she can still turn her life around.

With peace restored in Jin and the peace treaty between Yan and Jin abolished, Ping Ting and Bei Jie retire to Mount East country house as promised. He Xia and Yao Tian plan how to build up their army and oust Prime Minister Gui.

Yao Tian decides to break all ties with Yan State and begin training her army, forcing He Xia and Prime Minister Gui to work together. Ping Ting has trouble feeling safe at Mount East, and staying away from matters of the world.

Consort Zhang continues her false pregnancy. After Grand Marshal Xie brings a message from King of Jin State, both Bei Jie and Ping Ting keep secrets from each other. He Xia shows off the expanded Bai Lan army.

After Bei Jei is convinced to help Jin state, Ping Ting suggests they put off their trip for a month, asking him to return in time to celebrate his birthday. He Xia and Consort Zhang's plan is put into action.

With Bei Jei captured, the people after Ping Ting realize they might not need to kill her after all. Ping Ting recognizes the forces surrounding Mount East. Sima Hong grows weaker as Consort Zhang's poison tears through his body.

Ping Ting's defenses are penetrated, and she makes a play for time, however her loyalty to Bei Jie is tested. King of Jin makes plans contingent on the outcome of the situation. Consort Zhang puts her final plan into action.

Mo Ran begs for Bei Jie's release since He Xia has given a two-day deadline before he will kidnap Ping Ting. King of Jin hands down a final sentence to Consort Zhang. Zui Ju foils Ping Ting's plan.

Afraid that Bei Jie is dead, Ping Ting struggles to find the will to continue. Bei Jie chases He Xia, but is forced to change to a new plan when he cannot catch up before he crosses the Bai Lan border. Yan state makes a play for Ping Ting.

Ping Ting's sudden illness causes her presence to be known to Yao Tian, who surprises her husband by her reaction.

Ping Ting's health remains unstable. Ping Ting tries to convince He Xia that they don't have a relationship anymore. Bei Jie sends Yao Tian an ultimatum.

When He Xia leaves the manor to fight, Ping Ting begins to plot her escape. Bei Jie strategizes how to breach Yun-An's wall.

Ping Ting's conversation with Yao Tian does not go as planned, and she is horrified to find that the general leading the attack on Yun-An City is Bei Jie after offering Yao Tian her skills as a strategist.

Yao Tian races to get to He Xia before he is killed and tries to persuade Bei Jie to stop fighting. King of Jin receives news from Mount East country house.

Ping Ting and Zui Ju must avoid and outsmart the many factions pursuing them as they travel to Liang state. King of Jin seeks to have Bei Jie return to his side.

Ping Ting's unborn baby is put at risk when her health takes a sudden turn for the worse. Bei Jie chases after a rumor in hopes of reuniting with Ping Ting, which puts him in danger. He encounters some unexpected help.

Yang Feng worries about why Ping Ting hasn't arrived. Zui Ju is mistaken for Ping Ting, putting them both in danger. Bei Jie threatens to kill Liang generals in his search for her.

Yang Feng struggles with her grief and grudge against Bei Jie. Many attend Ping Ting's funeral. He Xia pledges to regain focus for his goals. King of Jin contemplates his future.

Ping Ting finally enters Liang only to hear that Zui Ju is dead. Prime Minister Gui is upset that Yao Tian continues to give He Xia power. Bei Jie is surprised by some information from the King of Jin but cannot agree to his request.

Ping Ting must decide whether or not to reunite with Bei Jie. Yao Tian balances favor between He Xia and Prime Minister Gui while serving her own ends. Baili Plum Woods wines are a success.

Now that Bai Lan is known as a military force, Yao Tian orders He Xia to declare war on Jin. Ze Yin discovers a secret in Jiaoyan Casino.

He Xia gains advantage over Jin army by manipulating the state's food supply. Ping Ting can't help but analyze the political situation. Ping Ting and Lady Thirteen meet by chance. Bei Jie (as Master Dong) mitigates Jin's food crisis.

He Xia makes a move to eliminate his enemies in the Gui family. Lady Thirteen announces the casino's last auction with a surprising prize. Bei Jie takes a trip on a hunch.

He Xia takes matters into his own hands to get rid of Prime Minister Gui. The situation in Yan state is dire but He Xia turns his attention to Liang. Ping Ting and her friends decide to flee as the Bai Lan army continues to invade states.

Ping Ting is shocked by their rescue. An enraged Ze Yin challenges He Xia to a fight. Ping Ting searches for medicine in an almost empty town when Yang Feng gets sick and resorts to bold measures.

When Ping Ting makes a bet with Lady Thirteen, she unwittingly faces off with Bei Jie in a blind chess (Go) game. The game begins to feel eerily familiar to Ping Ting and Bei Jie who try to guess who their opponent might be.

He Xia invades Jiankang city, forcing the King of Jin to evacuate the palace. Ping Ting accepts Lady Thirteen's offer of help to flee. Bei Jie meets with loyal friends in Jiaoyan casino when making plans. He returns to Ping Ting's grave.

Bei Jie and Ping Ting leave together to help stop He Xia's army. Yao Tian is taken aback when it seems that her husband is rebelling against her. General Ruo Han struggles with the low morale of the remaining Liang army.

Ping Ting and Bei Jie must turn their attention to Jin state. Chu Mo Ran tracks down the King of Jin. When He Xia returns to Bai Lan, Yao Tian is forced to accept what their relationship has become and what it means for her rule.

Sensing his death, the King of Jin declares Bei Jie to be his heir. Ping Ting must choose if she accepts the effect this will have on their lives. Yao Tian invites He Xia to a banquet with ulterior motives.

Ping Ting sends a letter to Yang Feng with a request. News of King of Jin's death reaches He Xia. Ping Ting and Bei Jie plan how their alliance army can delay Bai Lan's invasion of Yan state despite being wildly outnumbered.

Bei Jie makes progress in forming a relationship with Chang Xiao. The King of Yan is forced to surrender Changzi City to He Xia, and He Xia visits his childhood home. Ping Ting's sense that something bad will happen proves correct.

Ping Ting and Bei Jie infiltrate Qie Rou City to sabotage Bai Lan's army. He Xia struggles with memories from his past.

Despite the happy return of Ze Yin, Bei Jie worries that He Xia will enter Qie Rou City ahead of reinforcements as the many pieces of his and Ping Ting's plan struggle to come together.

Ping Ting faces He Xia with brave wit and little backup as she puts the last pieces of her plan into place, while Bei Jie attacks directly in an attempt to confuse He Xia.

Ping Ting directs the desperate last stand of Qie Rou City as He Xia attacks it with his full army while Bei Jie is tied up in the field of battle. The war comes to a head with a final battle of wills.
