Foods of Kenya - Season 1 (2019)

We travel to northeast Kenya to explore the Borana traditions. Camel meat and camel milk are the Borana community's traditional foods and get to learn how they are prepared.

We explore the Kisii land to learn how they prepare food like Matoke, Sinsaga, Ugali, and Porridge.

The Kuria community will show us how they prepare porridge, energy drinks, vegetables, Uchuri ( meat fried with blood) and sweet potatoes

We explore the Abasuba community in our 7th episode to learn how they prepare Ugali, Alcohol, Fish, and their greens.

We explore the Isahakia community to learn, how do they prepare their traditional Bread, Sarel (rice and wheat), and Falfal (boiled goat).

We explore the Embu community to learn how they prepare their traditional food like Mukinde ( Terere, maize flour, and black beans)and Ruro ( soup made out of arrowroot leaves).

Nyeni (maize, beans, vegetables, bananas)Uji, Nguja Matu (sorghum, flour or maize flour) are the Meru traditional foods and we find out how they are prepared.

We explore the Ogiek community to learn how they prepare honey and how to roast an antelope traditionally.

We explore the Sanguer land to learn how they prepare Ugali, Sour greens and traditional alcohol.

We explore the Luo community as we learn how to prepare Fish, sundried meat cooked with ghee& milk, ugali, and greens.
