Celt warrior woman Ardala is sold into a Mediterranean gladiator school in 2nd Century AD. In the gladiator school she transforms from rebellious recruit to ruthless fighter wanting to avenge the death of her friend and mentor Zonena.

The all-female Agooji regiments were the terrifying elite force of the Kingdom of Dahomey that was feared for its slave raids in West Africa. We recreate the life of young recruit Sukeoun who fights French colonial forces.
