The Hollywood Wax Museum unveils it's latest wax figure , that of Playboy Magazine founder Hugh Hefner. Hef is present at the ceremony with his friend Garry Marshall.

A sequence covering the Hollywood Wax Museums publicity stunt, whereby a faux Oscar statuette was placed into the hands of the wax effigy of Julia Roberts. Julia Roberts was nominated, and did win, the "Best Actress" Oscar for her performance as Erin Brockovich, in the film with the same name. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences served the Hollywood Wax Museum with a cease and desist order, stating that the wax museum could not use their coveted statuette to promote their business.
