Don Matteo - Season 2 (2001)

El mago. A fortune teller sets in Gubbio and gains fame by apparently healing a sick woman. Don Matteo will unmask him proving he is a fake.

Los cinco bogavantes. A food critic is murered just before culinary lobster awards are given. Since he argued with two brothers whom he rented a country house to host their restaurant they are suspicious of being the murderers.

Un hombre honesto. Maresciallo Cecchini is accused of undergoing drug traffic. Realizing he has been framed for an unknown reason captain Anceschi and Don Matteo will investigate until they find the real culprit.

El autobús. A group of retired men and women go on excursion to Gubbio. Don Matteo sees one of them pushing a woman from a cliff killing her but he can not identify him as he was too far away. The search for the guilty begins.

Pesos pesados. A young boxer dies in the training ring after receiving a punch in the head from his trainer. Don Matteo suspects this punch has not been the cause of his death so investigates to know what did the boxer do before he died.

Un movimiento arriesgado. The head of a local company is kidnapped and an employee is put in jail but Don Matteo does not believe she is guilty.

Un matrimonio apresurado. The son of a Moroccan grocery owner is beaten in what seems a racist assault.His brother admits to have stolen in their father's shop to avoid an arranged wedding. Don Matteo suspects none of them tells the truth.

La banda. Angela's boyfriend Sergio is run over by a car and dies. Her friends convince her to remain in Gubbio and join the music band but she receives anonymous letters threatening her. Don Matteo will find out who is writing them.

La mordedura de la serpiente. During a religious procession a man is bitten by a snake and taken to the hospital. His only chance is to find the snake to do an antidote but when Don Matteo finds it he is beaten and the snake is stolen.

Hasta las entrañas. Nerino discovers an Etruscan tomb while walking with Don Matteo. They inform the authorities but next morning they discover that during the night someone has robbed it.

Jugando con fuego. Several fires burn the forest. Police suspect of the land owners but when a teenager is questioned he admits to have set the fires. Don Matteo will unmask the arsonist.

Fuera de juego. The coach of the Gubbio girl volleyball team is found dead. A former player who is in a wheelchair due to a car crash that the coach drove is found guilty. Don Matteo will prove her innocence.

A few weeks before her marriage, a young woman is found murdered in her home.
