Don Matteo - Season 1 (2000)

Don Matteo investigates allegations of theft against Anna, a young Albanian woman. Is she being blackmailed? And if she has an alibi, why does she refuse to reveal it?

La estrategia del escorpión. A convict is found dead in his cell. Another prisoner is suspect to have killed him. Don Matteo will prove his innocence.

Cuestión de olfato. All the truffle dogs in Gubbio have been poisoned except one. Its owner is accused of being the poisoner. Don Matteo will prove he did not do it.

La rosa antigua. After a married parishioner confess she is in love with another man she is found dead. Don Matteo investigates. Natalina is angry because Don Matteo is receiving love letters and tries to find out who writes them.

El angelito. After a paternity quarrel a baby disappears and her mother is found unconscious. The alleged father is arrested. Don Matteo searches for the baby and his mother's attacker. Nerino is worried about how babies are originated.

A la espera de juicio. Don Matteo is accused of murder. Talking to another recluse he discovers that their cases may be related. An unexpected clue can prove he is innocent but he can not use it. Will he be finally released?

Chantaje. A businessman who pollutes water dumping chemicals from his factory is blackmailed. Police arrests a man who threatened him after his cow died from drinking contaminated water. But Don Matteo suspects who is the real blackmailer.

El actor. While filming an action movie the main actor is shot dead by someone using real ammunition instead of blank. Don Matteo will prove that a local extra did not do it.

Estado de embriaguez. Don Matteo organizes an excursion with the congregation. One of the coaches crashes into a wall and driver's alcohol blood test is positive although he denies drinking. Since he is a former alcoholic he is accused.

Crimen académico. After a medical researcher is murered a lucrative exam trafficking business is discovered in the medical school.

El amor no tiene edad. An old man living in a retirement home is found dead in the garden. Once known he's been killed Don Matteo will search for the murderer while learning the man's story and his relationship with several Gubbio citizens

El fuego de la pasión. One of Don Matteo parishioners donates a gondola figurine for the church charity auction without knowing her husband hid a valuable diamond in it. He will try to recover it at any cost.

La manzana podrida. An undercover policeman is unmasked and attacked by drug dealers. Don Matteo and maresciallo Cecchini must discover the carabinieri who betrayed him.
