Nick, who is starting to walk again and has a new girlfriend, saves Bracken from being run over. Ronnie thanks him and they make up. DI Eva's undercover work becomes more and more dangerous. Just when his life is coming good again, Nick gets hit by a truck.

Melody is first to Nick's aid after the hit and run accident. She is distraught at not being able to save his life. Everyone's sad.

DI Eva's undercover work is almost blown by a pub punter who recognizes her, while Jimmi (who thinks she's at home with her family), lets her know about Nick's death.

Graham Capelli, an aging actor most well known for his role as a time traveler in a 1980's kids program, 'The Amazing Lollipop Man', visits the doctors to see Dr West. Unfortunately it is the day of Dr West's funeral. Capelli spends his time now recording DVD commentaries and hoping the show will return.

DI Eva's undercover work gets more dangerous when Poppy turns up with a baby. A new doctor, the larger than life Heston Carter, starts at the Mill. Ruth goes to an Elvis dentist!

Eva's undercover job goes from bad to worse when in a struggle with Poppy, Callum gets killed.

Poppy goes to get help from Jimmi at the Mill. He decides to try and see Eva. Jack tries to get to the bottom of how Callum died. Archie comes to blows with Heston.

Eva's undercover operation ends in disaster when she is shot after an argument with Jack in a deserted city center car park. Jimmi witnesses the shooting and runs to her aid.

The death of Eva has hit everyone hard. Jimmi gets a phone call though, that leads him to her, still alive. It seems that her death was part of the operation, but she has to remain 'dead' to everyone and leave Letherbridge and Jimmi. She has to go into hiding and change her identity. Jimmi and Eva are both really sad.
