Sarah struggles to concentrate at work following her confrontation with Brenda. Fiz blames Cilla for turning Kirk against her. Jack tries to offload the fridge-freezer.

Sarah and Todd embark on a frantic search for missing Brenda and Bethany. Les encourages Kirk to fight for his girl. Vera is unimpressed by Jack and Charlie's arrangement.

Atop the church roof, Emily pleads with Brenda to spare Bethany's life while Sarah looks on in anguish. Kirk decides to give Fiz another chance. Ken voices concerns about Charlie to Deirdre.

Sarah blames herself for endangering Bethany's life. Blanche accuses Deirdre of neglecting Ken by going out to work. Bev and Charlie flirt across the bar.

Kirk hides from Fiz at the Battersbys' house, afraid to admit that he's not on the run any more because he was homesick.
