Chopped - Season 44 (2019)

Four Chopped champions are hungry for more as they return for a special Thanksgiving competition. They face a shocking poultry product in the appetizer round and a big, bright orange surprise in the entree round.

Four regular Chopped judges compete with their significant others to create tantalizing holiday dishes. The appetizer round must include Hanukkah pasta, lamb shanks, a silver platter of sweets, and figs. The entree round must include basket ingredients including port crown roast, Swiss chard, chestnuts, and Buche de Noel. The dessert round must include a gingerbread mansion, cherries, Colombian hot chocolate, and an olive Christmas tree. Which of the judges and his/her significant other have what it takes to be the Chopped Champion?

Four chefs will compete to fight to be Chopped Champion again. They will be making three different desserts rather than the traditional appetizer, entrée, and dessert rounds with sugar and spice each time. The first round will include a gingerbread wreath, nutmeg with mace, Advocaat, and pomegranate. The ingredients for the second dessert round include a marshmallow treat snowman, Hanukkah gelt, red Anjou pears, and cloves. Four college students with a passion for cooking take over the kitchen to prove who can make the grade; a humble pizza and a common protein keep the appetizer basket palatable but present a challenging culinary puzzle.

Four chefs are challenged to make lean dishes, as low-calorie chips and some leafy greens inspire creativity in the first round. In the second round, the chefs find avocado-free guacamole in the entrée basket. Finally, the remaining chefs make light desserts.

It's game day in the "Chopped" kitchen; after kickoff, the chefs get an appetizer basket loaded with foods to fuel hungry sports fans; the entrée basket has a super strange shot glass and some winning wings.
