The Heelers are called to a house where a baby appears to have died from SIDS. It is not the first baby this couple have lost, and another is due soon. Amy is suspicious.

PJ and Amy are called to the O'Keefe home after a home invasion.

Joss's brother arrives in town to help train the Blue Light soccer team, and takes a shine to Kelly - much to Joss's dismay.

When an excited first-time father disowns his newborn baby, Alex and Susie suspect the mother has been having an affair with a young schoolboy. At first they deny a relationship, but when they run away together, the case is all but proved.

Dean Tufnell, a known teen sex offender, escapes on day-release from prison and Jonesy has to help a family track down their missing five-year-old daughter to ensure her safety.

PJ, Amy, and Garth are investigating the brutal murder of a young woman when a second body is discovered, killed in a similar style - a serial killer is at work in Mt Thomas.

Amy, PJ, and Senior Detective Garth Henderson find a new link between the last two serial killer victims - their psychologist, Bill Lapscott, who runs a therapy group for victims of sexual abuse.

The serial killer is still at large in Mt Thomas but examination of the latest murder victim reveals enough dissimilarity to indicate it was not the same killer.

Amy regains consciousness after being attacked late at night to find Garth leaning over her. Amy freaks and turns to PJ, accusing Garth of trying to kill her - and further incriminating him as the key serial killer suspect.

Susie goes to bat to save the reputation of a man whose depression has driven him to suicide. He is also under suspicion of leaving a bomb at the hospital the day of his death.

Joss finds himself in the middle of an armed stand-off on the football field when a feud between two members of his Blue Light Soccer Team gets out of control.

There's a lion on the loose. The trial for Barry Baxter also goes from bad to worse and there's more wild animals on the loose of the two-legged kind. The Susie, Evan, Alex triangle erupts and has a fallout of its own.

Three teenagers are killed in an horrific highway collision and there are conflicting stories about the final seconds before impact. Susie continues her relationship with Jason Tyler whilst Jonesy tries to keep his feelings to himself.

The man who killed Kelly's father 15 years ago has been released from prison and is in town to tend to his dying mother. A wall of sympathy and police solidarity is thrown up around Kelly.

With Alex and Joss not trusting each other, Sergeant Jacobs hands over a missing girl who was already missing. Joss and Kelly have to deal with a road accident and a body of their own.

The paddock at the lonely Biden farm has revealed the remains of three more murder victims, all teenage girls. Charlie Biden has already admitted to killing one, and is clearly the murderer of the others.

An after-hours robbery of the Imperial Hotel is interrupted by the publican, Chris Riley. There is a struggle in the darkened bar, and Chris is left with a badly cut hand and a young female robber in a coma from a blow to the head.

Alex continues a struggle with paranoia after receiving a bullet taped to a transfer application form. Things become more desperate when petty criminal Terry Swanson exploits Alex's situation.

Alex, Joss and all that tension at the station is finally going to come to a head. Tom learns the truth and Inspector Falcon-Price is called in to take the statements, where someone will lose their job.

Mark befriends a young boy with great artistic promise during a routine investigation into thefts in Widgeree. However, when Mark breaks a promise under duress from his family, the boy turns against him, with tragic consequences.

Mark's failure to protect himself against a physical threat from another offender is noticed by Susie, who starts to have doubts about his ability to do his job.

When a body is found, an old friend of Tom's resurfaces and claims he did it. Tom does not believe it but why would the man say he did? Susie is made acting sergeant.

Amy and Jonesy investigate when a recent lotto winner is found bashed and near death on a country road. They suspect his two gold-digging mates. What they don't expect is an admission that they were taking part in an assisted suicide.

Matt finds a naked boy and when the body of a naked girl turns up, Amy and Evan have to find out what really happened. Kelly is sick but has to come into work.

Matt aggressively investigates a teacher who has been assaulted by a student and this will have him at odds with Alex. Estelle pushes Kelly till it blows up but there is more trouble to come for both of them.

Matt is dealing with a family from East Timor when he was stationed there, whilst the others are investigating abuse in the family. Kelly is afraid as she hears of Estelle's escape from an institution.

With a murdered victim to now follow, Matt clashes with Amy on the number one suspect. Susie tells Alex what she thinks of him being sergeant and his attitude towards a 'stag do' will have consequences the next day.

Matt's military past is revealed as he is investigated by his peers in relation to a murder, while Amy grudgingly notes Jonesy's potential as a detective.

Evan (Jonesy) is taking his detective's exam. Amy is left alone with Matt who seems to cause trouble wherever he goes; accident prone Kelly and Joss are doing some detective work of their own, with the theft of some property.

When a woman alleges she was raped while under general anaesthetic, Jonesy fails to make any headway in the case forcing Amy to get involved to show him how it's done.

Amy is determined to catch the slippery doctor and put him away, but she is about to learn new things about him. A little boy who won't remove his Darth Vader's mask is looking for someone and latches on to Evan.
