During an accident on the highway, two young employees of the highway maintenance department secretly take a suitcase with explosive contents. One of the two friends plans to blackmail the owners. But the gangsters are already hot on their heels.

Semir Gerkhan and his wife Andrea witness a gas station robbery on their way to work. Andrea shoots one of the robbers in self-defense to save Semir's life. Now the dead man's brother wants revenge.

Jochen, the son of highway patrolman Dieter Bonrath, works as a driver for a limousine service. He witnesses a passenger abusing his wife. He tells the highway patrol about it.
