At the age of eighty he received rave notices for his performance as Estragon in Waiting for Godot for the Causes Theatre Company. He was a stalwart of the light comedy series with regular guest appearances on the Benny Hill show. Committed to the profession at all levels he was one of the founding fathers of British Actors Equity.
