Stacy Yevette Lightner was born in Hartford Connecticut to parents Carol Lightner and Crayton Barnes III. Growing up Stacy had an immense love for reading, writing and television. This love soon grew into a passion for creating and developing stories and characters. At the age of eighteen Stacy penned her first screenplay and has been writing ever since. Although born and raised in New England; since a very young age she has had an infatuation with California and knew she would one day live there. At the age of twenty one she made this a reality. Not knowing a single individual, Stacy relocated to Hollywood, California after only visiting the city once to attend a two day filmmaking workshop. Although born in Connecticut, Los Angeles is where Stacy grew up. Her goal as an artist is to create and tell stories that uplift, inspire and educate. She has a deep interest in knowing the "why" behind the way people and situations are. This is something she often explores in her work. Stacy Lightner is an actress, writer, producer and director with a number of projects in development.
