Scott Ferguson was born in Santa Monica, California and raised in Northridge in the San Fernando Valley. After a fourteen year screen-acting career, he earned a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Film Studies from UC Berkeley. He is presently a professor of Film & New Media Studies in the Department of Humanities & Cultural Studies at the University of South Florida. He is also a board member of the Modern Money Network and a Research Scholar at the Binzagr Institute for Sustainable Prosperity.
