Ryan William Coughlin was born February 23, 1980 of John and Kristine Coughlin in Watertown, WI. Ryan wrote his first book (unpublished) at the age of 9 after being inspired by the Rob Reiner/Stephen King film "Stand By Me." Ryan wrote his first screenplay while in high school. Ryan enjoyed acting in school plays as a teenager, but didn't decide to commit to the craft until entering college. Although Ryan had plans of moving to Hollywood to contribute to film, he attended the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh where he double-majored in Finance and Economics, while studying film on an elective basis. Ryan gave his acting career a kick-start in LA in 2002, but found regular job opportunities in Denver, CO. In 2004, Ryan moved back to LA and has booked steady work since. Ryan awaits his breakout role, however his ability, work ethic, and patience will surely give him his stamp of Hollywood's approval in the near future. Ryan is also a screenwriter. He has written three scripts for the US Army Medical Department, each involving dramatizations to promote Mental Health. Ryan has completed six screenplays while servicing his acting career in order to "write his way in" to acting.
