Born in Bogotá, he started his training at the TPB and Studio XXI. At 12 he made his debut in "De Pies A Cabeza" where he became one the best young actors in Colombia. In 1996 he won the "india Catalina " and "Tv y Novelas " as the breakthrough performance of the year. Manuel traveled to Paris to the Sorbonne U to complete his education as an actor. Then his career on TV continued with many important shows such as " Francisco el Matemático", "Pura Sangre", "El Capo" and "la Niña". In 2005 he was nominated for the Colombian acting awards for his performance as "Ernesto Manrique". His filmography includes more than 13 features such as "Soñar No Cuesta Nada", "Como el Gato y el Ratón", "Edipo Alcalde" and "Al final del Espectro". In 2016 his performance in the movie "La Luciérnaga" was nominated for the Macondo awards, the Colombian academy movie awards, as best supporting actor. In 2017 he played the leading role on "Afuera Del Tiempo" a romantic comedy. He is now working on "Bolivar", the most ambitious project in the history of Colombia's main producing company Caracol TV, co-produced by Netflix. Manuel is determined to continue evolving his acting as he came to Australia to breakthrough the local industry while studying a business diploma, to add new skills to his experience as producer.
