Herrin graduated from Santa Barbara Senior High School in 1975. She was the Playmate of the Month in the March 1981 issue of "Playboy." She graced the covers of both the September 1982 and September 1983 issues of "Playboy." Herrin posed for a handful of "Playboy" special editions and was featured in a couple of "Playboy" videos. In addition, she modeled for other clients such as Ralph Lauren and "FIT" magazine (she also did fitness and swimwear ads for this particular magazine).
