Joe started acting age 10 when he played the part of Winthrop in the Music Man at the Palace Theatre. This was followed by the part of Young Santa Claus in the Life and Adventures of Santa Claus (a Bruce James Production) in the same year and voice over for the role of Catboy in Disney's PJ Masks. At age 11, Joe wont the lead role of Rocket Boulsworth in the CBBC TV series "Rockets Island". This ran for 30 episodes over 3 years and was nominated for a Children's BAFTA. In November 2016 Joe filmed Possum, a horror movie written and directed by Matthew Holness and starring Sean Harris. In June 2017 Joe had a small role in Paddington 2.
